Vol. 518 No. 6

Written Answers. - Decentralisation Programme.

John Bruton

Question:

252 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Finance the proposals, if any, there are to decentralise a section of any Government Department to County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12661/00]

I intend that the Government will be in a position to take decisions on a new programme of decentralisation by the summer. There are, therefore, no proposals at this time in relation to the inclusion in the new programme of any particular Department/office/agency nor in relation to any particular centre and as such it is premature to comment on the likelihood of County Meath being included in the new programme.
