268 Ms Clune asked the Minister for Health and Children the progress made in the development of a traditional medicine directive at EU level following the EU Pharmaceutical Committee meeting in March 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12336/00]

It was reported to the EU Pharmaceutical Committee at its meeting in March that the first meeting of the working group on traditional medicinal products had been held and that discussions of a general nature on the various issues involved had taken place.
