Vol. 518 No. 6

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

298 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has satisfied himself with the level of occupational therapy services provided at Waterford Regional Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12493/00]

The provision of services at Waterford Regional Hospital is a matter for the South Eastern Health Board in the first instance. The board has advised that it is satisfied with the level of occupational therapy services provided at Waterford Regional Hospital.

I understand from the board that there are five occupational therapy posts based in Waterford Regional Hospital at present and the board has plans to recruit an additional occupational therapist later this year.
