344 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if arrangements are in place to operate the CAT scan machine at Mayo General Hospital outside normal working hours to give emergency cover when necessary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13007/00]

The provision of services in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to reply to the Deputy directly.
