Vol. 518 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dublin Traffic Management.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

395 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he intends to re-establish the consultative committee under the Dublin Transport Initiative; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12992/00]

On 7 March 2000 I announced the membership of the new Dublin Transportation Office advisory committee. The purpose of the new advisory committee is to provide advice and guidance to the steering committee of the DTO and to provide a forum for consultation on Dublin transport issues. The new single advisory committee replaces the former local authority committee and the consultative panel and comprises 26 members: 14 members of local authorities and 12 representatives of business, transport and environmental interests.
