Vol. 518 No. 6

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Michael Noonan

Question:

485 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to the offer made by Limerick County Council to provide a site for a Garda station on its lands at Castletroy, Limerick; if he will avail of this offer; if he will make the necessary arrangements to provide a Garda station at this location at the earliest possible date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12696/00]

Correspondence was received in my Department on 25 April 2000 from Limerick County Council concerning proposals for the development of land at Newcastle in Castletroy, County Limerick, and inquiring if my Department had any interest in procuring some of this land to provide a Garda station. This matter is currently under consideration and a response will issue to the county council as soon as possible.
