598 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Education and Science if an application for a permanent classroom for a school (details supplied) in County Donegal has been received; and if the application will be approved. [12989/00]

An application from the school in question for grant aid towards additional accommodation is being considered by my Department.

As with all applications involving the construction of extra facilities, my Department will have to determine, in the first instance, the long-term viability of the school and the consequent accommodation requirements. When this assessment has been completed, the school authorities will be contacted immediately.
