Vol. 519 No. 3

Written Answers - Parliamentary Query.

Willie Penrose

Question:

175 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason there has been no response to the query raised in relation to a person (details supplied) in parliamentary Question No. 286 of 28 March 2000 in spite of an assurance being given that it would be responded to promptly; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13881/00]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Westmeath is the statutory responsibility of the Midland Health Board in the first instance. I understand from the chief executive officer of the board that it has responded to the Deputy on this case in the form of a letter on 12 April last.
