Vol. 519 No. 5

Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

Seamus Kirk

Question:

156 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Finance the number of applicants on the public service-departmental transfer list who have expressed a preference to transfer to County Louth and County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14502/00]

The formal transfer lists currently set up in the Civil Service relate mainly to the clerical officer grade. The numbers on the transfer lists for the main Departments with offices in County Louth and County Meath are given in the following table. There will be some duplication in that individual officers may apply for transfer to the offices of a number of Departments in the same location or to more than one location within the same Department and would therefore be included in more than one list. Any transfer arrangements applying in the wider public service, rather than the Civil Service, would be a matter for the organisations in question.
