Vol. 519 No. 5

Written Answers. - Special Areas of Conservation.

Question:

263 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if she has considered designating the Glennasmol area of Dublin 24 as a special area of conservation; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14123/00]

I recently proposed an area in the Glenasmole valley for designation as a special area of conservation and advertised these proposals in the Southside News, Southside Leisure, The Southside People, The South Dublin Life & Leisure, Northside People and the Irish Independent in the week ended 13 May 2000. I have arranged for a map of the site to be forwarded separately to the Deputy.
