Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.
Architectural planning for an extension and refurbishment at the school in question is under way. I can assure the Deputy that every effort will be made to advance the project through the various stages of the architectural planning process.

Question:334 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will reduce the 10% local contribution demanded of the parents of children attending a school (details supplied) in County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14182/00]
Under the new funding arrangements for building projects introduced in January 1999, the amount of the local contribution for school extensions was reduced from 15% to 10% and, in addition, the contribution was capped at £25,000. These arrangements are of general application and it would not be appropriate to depart from them in an individual case.
