Question:132 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason for the ongoing delay in the payment of a farm retirement pension to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [14340/00]
Written Answers. - Farm Retirement Scheme.
As outlined in replies to previous parliamentary questions from the Deputy, processing of this application was delayed because a number of essential supporting documents were absent. All but one of these have now been provided. The one outstanding issue relates to the legal title held by a third party from whom the applicant's proposed transferee has leased enlargement land. My Department is actively examining this matter and it is expected that a conclusion will be reached shortly.
