151 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the number of farmers who have received payment under the special scheme for Border pig farmers; when the remainder will be paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15191/00]
To date a total of 75 applicants have received payments under the special aid scheme for pig producers.
Once the requisite information is provided to support a claim under the scheme, either by the producer or his/her bank, the payment is made by my Department immediately. Producers and banks have been made aware on a number of occasions of the requirements necessary to accompany a claim for payment under the scheme.
