Vol. 520 No. 1

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Michael Finucane

Question:

268 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the current situation regarding a sewerage scheme at a location (details supplied) in County Limerick; and when this scheme will get Department approval. [15138/00]

Contract documents for this scheme are with my Department but have not been approved. The Foynes-Shanagolden sewerage and drainage scheme is 15th on the list of schemes submitted by Limerick County Council in response to my Department's request to local authorities to undertake fresh assessments of the needs for capital works in their areas and to prioritise their proposals on the basis of the assessments. The priority lists will be taken into account in the framing of water services investment programmes for this and future years under the National Development Plan 2000-2006.
