Vol. 520 No. 1

Written Answers. - Residency Applications.

Michael Ring

Question:

340 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a person (details supplied), currently living in Northern Ireland, has applied for residency; and if the application will be approved. [14906/00]

The person referred to by the Deputy has applied to the Department of Foreign Affairs for registration on the Foreign Births Register and I understand that this is currently being processed.

As this person is living in Northern Ireland, the question of residency is a matter for the British authorities.
