Vol. 520 No. 1

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Olivia Mitchell

Question:

344 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the plans he has to actively pursue relocating the old Dundrum Garda station, which needs refurbishment, to the planned new town centre which would provide a more central and more accessible centre for Garda activities and enable them to better serve the rapidly expanding commercial, industrial and residential catchment area. [14994/00]

I understand that the Office of Public Works has been planning on the basis of upgrading Dundrum Garda station to city station status.

However, now that planning approval has, I understand, been granted for the town centre site the Office of Public Works will be asked to look again at that site.
