371 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received an application for funding from survivors of child abuse to fund a meeting for the organisation; if so, if he has made a decision on the application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14919/00]
I received a proposal for funding from a group representing survivors of child abuse for a meeting to be held in Kilkenny this weekend. As part of the ongoing support of the Government for such groups my Department, in co-operation with the Department of Health and Children, was prepared to provide funding to the people who would attend to cover expenses. However, I understand the meeting has now been postponed.
