The latest statistics on occupations available are taken from the 1997 labour force survey. The following table sets out the number of persons in employment, according to the ILO definition, classified by occupation. More recent statistics on occupations will be included by the CSO in its quarterly national household survey results for quarter one of 2000, which will be issued by the CSO on Wednesday, 7 June.
