Vol. 520 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

John Perry

Question:

137 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 219 of 10 May 2000, his attention has been drawn to the fact that a person (details supplied) is already in receipt of REPs payment on the rented lands; if he will reassess the case and have the payment made for the five years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14981/00]

The lands referred to in Parliamentary Question 219 of 10 May last were first declared to my Department in March 1998 as lands leased, on a conacre basis, with less than five years to run. The lands are therefore ineligible for payment under REPS and no payments have been made in respect of these lands.

Dan Neville

Question:

138 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when installation aid grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick. [14982/00]

Payment to the person named under the national scheme of installation aid is expected to issue within the next two weeks.

Michael Ring

Question:

139 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason conflicting information has been given for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo on his 1999 area aid application; if credit is being given for four parcels as listed; and when payment on the total forage area of 50.30 hectares will issue. [14983/00]

The person named originally submitted an area aid application form on 23 April 1999 for 50.30 hectares. Subsequently he submitted an amendment form, which instructed the addition of two parcels of land and the deletion of all four parcels listed above. It was stated on the amendment form that the reason that these four parcels were being deleted from the original application was that these parcels were not available for renting in 1999. The application was amended as instructed and the total area claimed amounted to 29.24 hectares and this is the area on which payments were based.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

140 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a decision will be made on the application of a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan for a suckler quota; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15089/00]

There is no record in my Department of having received an application from the person named for an allocation of suckler cow quota from the year 2000 National Reserve.

The closing date for receiving completed applications was 23 December 1999 and I regret to say that an application cannot be accepted at this stage.
