Written Answers. - Endangered Birds.

Austin Deasy

Question:

26 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if her attention has been drawn to the alarming drop in certain species of birds as outlined in a report by Birdwatch Ireland which indicates that a number of previously common birds such as yellow hammers, sky larks, hen harriers and barn owls are rapidly becoming extinct; and her plans, if any, to rectify the situation. I refer the Deputy to my reply to Priority Question No. 15 today.
