79 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Finance the progress that has been made on the provision of a new Garda station at Schull, County Cork; and if the design of the new station will be in line with the environmental design of adjacent buildings in that area. [15953/00]

Minister of State at the Department of Finance (Mr. Cullen):

The Office of Public Works will undertake a feasibility study to establish if a new district headquarters can be accommodated on the site of the existing Garda station in Schull. In designing a new station, regard would be taken of adjacent buildings.
