Vol. 520 No. 5

Written Answers. - One Stop Shops.

Liam Aylward

Question:

149 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will give favourable consideration to the applications for grant-aid by Carlow County Council towards two one stop shops in Tullow and Bagenalstown with a view to having approval issued at an early date. [16255/00]

A comprehensive submission for funding under the one stop shop initiative has recently been received from Carlow County Council. The submission sets out detailed project proposals for both Tullow and Bagenalstown.

Funding provisions under the initiative for 1999 and 2000 were allocated last year. Funding for 2001 will be considered in the near future and Carlow's submission will be considered in that context.
