Vol. 520 No. 5

Written Answers. - Visa Applications.

Willie Penrose

Question:

160 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he has received an application for a visa from a person (details supplied) in Mauritius who wishes to visit his brother who lives here; if he will ensure that a visa is granted; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16266/00]

An application for a visitor's visa has been received. As is standard practice, my Department has written to the applicant's reference in Ireland in order to obtain additional information regarding the applicant's plans. When a response is received further consideration will then be given to the application.
