194 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the current position in relation to the provision of extra facilities required at Rathmore national school, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16306/00]

Architectural planning for a school building project at Rathmore, County Kildare is proceeding.

The school authorities will be kept informed of developments as they happen.

195 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the precise extent of the extra facilities promised at Scoil Dara, Kilcock, County Kildare; the progress in relation to provision of same in the past six months; if he can now identify the date for the completion of anticipated works; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16307/00]

Approval was given to the managerial authorities of Scoil Dara in March 2000 to proceed to prepare a combined stage four and stage five submission, that is, detailed design and bill of quantities. The proposed accommodation will comprise of eight general classrooms, eight specialist rooms and associated ancillary area.

Following the receipt of the documentation referred to the project will be allowed to proceed to the invitation of tenders.

I am not in a position to say when the project will be completed.
