Written Answers. - Whole School Evaluation.
A draft circular and criteria of evaluation for whole school evaluation, WSE, were circulated to the education partners in May 2000 as part of the consultative process. The circular provides details on suggested procedures and practices appropriate to the implementation of a national WSE programme. The criteria of evaluation delineate the aspects of quality assurance which will be encompassed by WSE. The education partners are considering the draft circular and criteria of evaluation and consequently no decision will be made on the extension of WSE to all schools until this consultative process has been completed.
