143 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Finance when work will be undertaken by the Office of Public Works on the removal of weeds from the Annies river at Moore Hall, County Mayo, particularly in light of the current tourist season. [16448/00]

It is proposed to commence maintenance work on the Annies river following consultation and agreement with Dúchas as to the most suitable time for same. This will be in the current year.
