217 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children when an organisation (details supplied) in County Westmeath will receive an allocation from the national lottery, in view of the fact that lack of funding is causing major hard ships and pain for their members; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department received an application for a grant from the 2000 Health and Children allocation of national lottery funds on 2 May 2000 from the organisation referred to by the Deputy.

The organisation is seeking funding towards the refurbishment of a premises in Athboy. The application is under consideration for a grant from my Department and the organisation will be informed as soon as a decision has been made.
