Question:

176 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will instruct the South Eastern Health Board to have a grant under the housing aid for the elderly scheme paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny which was approved some time ago. [17559/00]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 172, 173, 175 and 176 together.

The housing aid scheme is operated in the Kilkenny area by the South Eastern Health Board on behalf of the Department of Environment and Local Government. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to examine the four cases mentioned and respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
