139 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will arrange to have approval granted for extensions to two fire stations (details supplied) in County Kilkenny, where the applications and plans have been submitted by Kilkenny County Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Applications submitted by Kilkenny County Council in November 1999 for approval in principle to the provision of extensions to the fire stations in Freshford and Callan, County Kilkenny, are under consideration in my Department in the context of this year's fire services capital programme. Decisions on the applications will be notified to the council in the near future.
