102 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Defence if he will give a breakdown of the number and value of compensation claims settled over the past five years by members of the Defence Forces; if he will outline the legal costs associated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17581/00]

The number of compensation claims made by members of the Defence Forces over the past five years is contained in the tabular statements which will be circulated with the official report.
