131 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the names and numbers of public relations firms employed by her and or her Department in each of the past three years; the total cost in each case; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [18512/00]
The only public relations expenditure incurred by my Department since my appointment in 1997, has been Citigate Dewe Rogerson who were appointed in 1999, with a subcontract to Drury Communications, as consultants in relation to the marketing and public relations aspects of the Telecom Eireann IPO at a total cost of £970,332.20, including expenses but excluding VAT.
I have not engaged any other public relations firms apart from the above for a specific purpose.
