I understand that my colleague, the Minister for the Environment and Local Government, Deputy Dempsey, intends to refer the matter of the possible introduction of a register of illness thought to be associated with genetically modified food to the interdepartmental group on GMOs in the context of its ongoing work. I await the outcome of the deliberations of this group on the matter.
