358 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the number of requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act, 1997, made to her Department in each of the past three years; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [18504/00]

The total number of requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act made to my Department from 21 April 1998 to date is 375. The breakdown requested by the Deputy is as follows: 1998, 37; 1999, 208; 2000, 130.
