Vol. 522 No. 2

Written Answers. - Visa Applications.

John Gormley

Question:

414 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he has received a copy of a letter for a person (details supplied) in County Dublin in relation to a visa application; if he will grant a visa under these circumstances; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18471/00]

The immigration division of my Department had not received the correspondence in question prior to it being supplied by the Deputy nor is it aware that a visa application has been made. If the applicant wishes to travel here for the purposes stated then she should lodge a visa application at the Irish Consulate in Bucharest together with supporting documentation from her Irish reference and the matter will be given full consideration.
