Written Answers. - Special Educational Needs.

Richard Bruton

Question:

444 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the special needs of a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary which have been identified in an assessment undertaken towards the end of 1999; and if he will make arrangements for appropriate support services to be made available to the school. [18021/00]

I am aware of the special needs of the pupil referred to by the Deputy.

My Department's inspectorate is currently investigating the needs of this pupil and the school authorities will be contacted when this investigation is completed.
