Vol. 522 No. 3

Written Answers. - National Stadium.

Thomas P. Broughan

Question:

227 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the current situation with regard to the planned national stadium and sports campus at Abbotstown, County Dublin; and if he has ordered a scoping timetabled report on the project. [18785/00]

As previously stated, most recently on 7 June, Questions Nos. 20, 24 and 27, following the Government's decision in January last to proceed with the development of Campus and Stadium Ireland, a development company under the chairmanship of the former Secretary General of the Department of the Taoiseach, Paddy Teahon, was established. As that company is responsible for taking the project through the design and construction stages, issues relating to matters such as the type of report referred to by the Deputy are, of course, for this company.
