Vol. 522 No. 4

Written Answers. - Schools Refurbishment.

David Stanton

Question:

266 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will report on the condition of Kyle national school in County Cork; the funding, if any, that has been made available or will be made available in order to repair or replace the school; the plans he has for the future of the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18931/00]

My Department has received an application for improved accommodation from the management authorities of Kyle national school, County Cork. The Deputy will appreciate, however, that my Department has a large number of school building projects on hand at present. Within this constraint, I can assure the Deputy that the application from the school in question will be dealt with as quickly as possible.
