Vol. 523 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

640 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Waterford will have an out-patient appointment in relation to his sinus problem in view of the fact he has been on the waiting list since April 1998; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20474/00]

The provision of medical treatment for eligible persons in County Waterford in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
