Vol. 523 No. 2

Written Answers. - Accident and Emergency Services.

Alan Shatter

Question:

158 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of persons who attended at the accident and emergency departments of each hospital in Dublin seeking treatment for an injury sustained as a result of an assault in 1999 and up to and including 30 September 2000; and if he will provide a breakdown of the information concerned with regard to each hospital. [20778/00]

The information requested by the Deputy is not routinely collected by my Department. However, my Department has asked the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to compile and collate the figures requested for each hospital in the Dublin area and to forward them directly to the Deputy.
