109 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Finance the number of public servants currently employed in each Government Department; the number employed in Dublin; and the number employed at various locations outside Dublin. [21327/00]

The total number of non-industrial civil servants by Department is set out in table A attached.

The numbers employed in Dublin and in various locations outside Dublin, by Department, is set out in table B.

The distribution by location excludes the prison service, 3,152, and Department of Foreign Affairs local recruits abroad, 254.
