Vol. 524 No. 1

Written Answers. - Proposed Legislation.

Charles Flanagan

Question:

112 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will have considerations made into repealing section 12 of the Land Act, 1965, in view of the fact that there is no record in his Department of any application by a landowner for consent under the section in relation to the sub-division of his or her holding having been refused over the past five years. [21830/00]

I propose to deal with this matter by means of a new general consent in the upcoming Land Bill.
