Question:208 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive a REPS payment for 1999. [22056/00]
Written Answers. - Grant Payments.
Following an inspection on the farm of the REPS participant named in June 1999, penalties amounting to 70 per cent were imposed on his third year payment. The person appealed the penalties unsuccessfully to my Department's local office in August 1999 and in September 1999 lodged a further appeal with the REPS appeals committee. The matter will be fully considered by the REPS appeals committee at its next available meeting. The person named will be informed directly of the outcome.
