Question:

302 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of specialist nurses assigned in the University College Hospital, Galway, and Mayo General Hospital to deal specifically with diabetes patients; and if these specialist nurses provide a full-time service. [22213/00]

The provision of services in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to reply to the Deputy directly.
