Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Jack Wall

Question:

381 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of Garda stations in the Kildare/Carlow division; the number of stations that operate on a 24 hour basis; the number of stations which operate the green-man system; the times of these operations; the number of calls for these operations to headquarters over the past six months; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22107/00]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that there are 31 Garda stations in the Carlow/Kildare division. A total of five stations operate on a 24 hour basis and 26 stations operate the "green man" system which is in operation at these stations when the station is unattended.

I am also informed by the Garda authorities that the statistics sought in relation to the number of calls for these operations is not available.
