Vol. 524 No. 2

Written Answers. - All Irish Schools.

Seán Haughey

Question:

438 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Education and Science the final position regarding the provision of an all-Irish second-level school for Coiste Méanscoile Oir Thuaisceart, Baile Átha Cliath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22244/00]

I approved a proposal earlier this year, that a second-level all-Irish school should be established in surplus accommodation in Grange Community College, Donaghmede, Dublin 13. The school will have its own principal and staff. Every effort is being made to have temporary arrangements in place to enable the school to commence operation in September 2001.
