Vol. 524 No. 5

Written Answers. - Post-mortem Services.

Ivan Yates

Question:

349 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that post mortem services will continue at Wexford General Hospital as heretofore and that the service will not be rationalised and relocated to the Waterford Regional Hospital in view of the requirement for services of post-mortems and the local coroner service in County Wexford. [23246/00]

The provision of services in this instance is the responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to reply to the Deputy directly.
