Vol. 524 No. 5

Written Answers. - Eircom Park.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

118 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Defence if he plans to appeal against the planning permission granted by South Dublin County Council for Eircom Park, County Dublin; if so, the basis of any such appeal; if there have been any discussions with the Department of the Taoiseach or the Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation regarding any such appeal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22984/00]

My Department lodged an appeal with An Bord Pleanála on 13 October 2000 in relation to the proposed development of Eircom Park based on air safety considerations in relation to Casement Aerodrome. I await the decision of the board in this matter.

My Department has had no discussions with the Department of the Taoiseach or the Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation regarding this appeal.

Question No. 119 taken with Question No. 114.
