Vol. 524 No. 6

Written Answers. - Rural Transport Integration.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

210 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Health and Children if there are plans to integrate transport in rural areas provided for school transport, health board other than acute ambulance transport, free travel for the elderly and buses and mini-buses provided to voluntary organisations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23495/00]

The provision of non-acute ambulance transport services for patients is a matter for determination at the individual health board level depending on local needs and circumstances.
