141 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if records are available for all checks carried out on live animals at Border inspection posts; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23417/00]

At the Border inspection post of entry the animals are subject to checks which include physical, documentary and identity checks. The checks carried out are recorded and retained at the Border inspection post of entry.
