Vol. 525 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Question:

133 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo, who is suffering from cancer, will be given a bed in Galway Regional Hospital, in view of the fact he has been waiting for some time. [23716/00]

The provision of hospital services to eligible persons in UCHG is, in this instance, the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
